[GALLERY] Golden Key Society members shine

  • Golden Key Society held its annual new members induction at the Great hall on Tuesday.

  • Over 600 students were inducted in on Tuesday. The event was attended by both parents and students.

  • The students represent 15 percent of the top students in each discipline at WIts.

  • Greg Marinovich, ZamaNdlovu Ndlovu and Abdullah Varachia were inducted into the society as honorary members.They were chosen because they are actively transforming the country in their respective fields and they uphold the three pillars of Golden key:academics, leadership and service.

  • New honarary Golden Key members Greg Marinovich, ZamaNdlovu Ndlovu, Abdullah Varachia, with Golden Key Charlene Gunter, and Wits executive members Sharon Chimhanda and Welcome Lishivha.

  • Second year therapeutics students who were inducted in as members.

  • Stephan Gericke, Golden Key staff member giving a gift to Lamese Abrahams from Wits to thank her for the help the University ha given to the Wits Golden Key Chapter.

 

Award winning photo-journalist Greg Marinovich was inducted into the Golden Key Society as an honorary member on Monday at Wits University.

National Planning Commission, communication specialist Zamandlovu Ndlovu, strategist and thought leader Abdullah Verachia were also inducted.

The society welcomes members every year into its induction event.

Golden Key is the an internationally recognised honour society that is affiliated with universities in Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, the Bahamas and the United States.
