Students have their say about the SABC’s decision to play 90 percent local music.

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has made a commitment to play a quota of 90 percent local music across all of its 18 radio stations as of May 12, 2016.
The decision to play larger percentage of local music would ensure that the broadcaster was reflective of the “various styles of local music on offer” said the SABC’s Chief Operations Officer, Hlaudi Motsoeneng in a report on SABC.
The SABC plans on reviewing the process to see if whether their audiences are happy with these changes.
