Comments Guidelines

The Wits Vuvuzela encourages comments from our readers which allows us to engage meaningfully and constructively.

Please note that all comments are subject to approval by the site manager before they appear on our site. Not all comments may be approved for various reasons. Some of these reasons are listed below but note that this is not an exhaustive list:

  • Comments are reviewed on a daily basis and as such appearance on the site may take anything up to 12 hours.
  • Comments which are personalised attacks on individuals, which are inflammatory and insulting will be rejected. Similarly comments that may be defamatory will also not be allowed.
  • We encourage those leaving comments to use their names but this is not a  requirement.
  • Comments that contain racist, sexist or homophobic terms, words or connotations will be not accepted.
  • Profanity is discouraged.
  • Comments which seek to advertise an organisation, service or  individual will not be accepted.
  • Please let us know if a comment appears on our site or social media accounts which appears to contravene these regulations. Email editor@witsvuvuzela.com
