Skeem Saam actor, founder of Cornet M Foundation and a Co-founder of Digni Administrators Insurance, Cornet Mamabolo features as this week’s “cool kid”.

This week’s Cool Kid is Cornet Thabiso Mamabolo who plays Thabo ‘T’bose’ Maputla in the popular soapie, ‘Skeem Saam’. He pursued a four-year BA degree at Wits where he was also a content producer at Voice of Wits (VOW) FM. T’bose dropped out of Wits after three years to pursue his acting career.
T’bose’s lead acting credits include local television drama and theatre performances in southern Africa. “I have always wanted to be a performer, so theatre was just a good start for my career,” said the Skeem Saam actor.
He has worked alongside popular actors such as Herriet Manamela and Paul Rapetsoa, who he says have always motivated him in his career. “I love acting, it fulfils me and I find healing there”, T’bose said.
T’bose is a brand ambassador for the Cutty clothing label, founder of Cornet M foundation, which is an initiative that builds libraries in rural areas for school learners. He is also one of the founding members of an insurance company called Digni Administrators.
During his spare time, T’bose indulges his passion for cycling.
