Gauteng’s ‘day zero’ may be a few short years away if Southern Africa’s temperatures rise any further.
Water shortages may become more commonplace in the near future for Gauteng residents. Research by the Global Change Institute at Wits University speculates that the province’s taps may run dry by 2030 as a result of rapid climate change.
To avoid the possibilities of water scarcity, the infographic points out key indicators and pointers for some preventative measures.
